My foremost object is to minimize the miseries of the Common Man. As people source my power and drive my actions, I have full trust in consultations and consensus. This is the Era of the Youth. Their aspirations, ambitions, dreams and hopes centrally occupy my thoughts and deeds. Plans, policies and implementation have to cater to these. Today’s call is for a harmonious blend of traditions with technology, speed with practicability, experience with wisdom, efficiency with equity and freedom with transparency and accountability.

I staunchly believe that all governance must lead to empowerment of the masses, particularly the women, the youth and the underprivileged that enhances the core objectives of secularism and inclusiveness. No sacrifice would be greater than this end. I am sincerely committed to a strong Meghalaya and a mightier Nation.
