Meira Kumar, Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha On behalf of the organizer's committee of the National Christmas Celebration, 2013 and on my own behalf, I deem it my privilege to welcome you all to this advance Christmas Celebration. In this cold evening, let me extend my warm welcome to this Pre-Christmas gathering to all of you. This gathering will soon be adorned by Hon’ble UPA Chairperson Madam Sonia Gandhi and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. We will also be joined by eminent personalities from different religions and other walks of life, as the event progresses. We have assembled here in this Constitution Club to remember the message of God, that He alone is our savior. I am in boundless joy today in welcoming you to this recurring annual event, where religious leaders, Parliamentarians, Public Leaders, leaders of the diplomatic community and eminent personalities from all professions, congregate to consider the fundamental focus of human life, which is none other than compassion to fellow beings. I would humbly request all of you to sit through the entire programme as far as possible and lend us your valuable support.
